The Welsh Food Awards recognise the achievements of suppliers, wholesalers, chefs and establishments in Wales, with the winners being voted for by the public. The category winner was a specialist fish a seafood supplier but being a Finalist places Bako amongst the best Wholesale suppliers in the country.
General Manager, Dyfed Evans, said:
“Although disappointed not to have matched last year’s achievement as winner of the Wholesaler of the Year, we were still delighted to be a Finalist and honoured at the Awards ceremony.
“We feel it’s a huge achievement, given the breadth and depth of the product ranges we offer and wide variety of customers we serve.”
The Awards were announced on 13th May, at an event attended by 500 people, held at Cardiff City Stadium.
